MC17 Crashes after a few minutes
« on: May 05, 2013, 02:09:32 am »

MC17 Crashes after a few minutes of play on some wav files that are about 3000 bps that were converted from 24bit w4a.  But MC thinks the files are 16 bit.

Sometimes it will keep playing music until I click "close" in the windows "stopped working" dialog box.  Very frustrating.  I'm using MC to control a Perfectwave Dac but that isn't new and honestly I can't think of anything that is new in the config.  I reinstalled and no improvement.  The problem is new, few days.

Here is the error log.

Faulting application Media Center 17.exe, version 17.0.189.0, time stamp 0x50917a6b, faulting module Media Center 17.exe, version 17.0.189.0, time stamp 0x50917a6b, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x006dc493, process id 0x2500, application start time 0x01ce495f8f522f47.

And there were a bunch of Bonjour errors in there too so I stopped it.
ERROR: handle_resolve_request bad interfaceIndex 24

Can it have something to do with having JR on 2 computers both able to control the PerfectwaveDac and the other computer with DNLA?

I'm not familiar with this DAC, how is it connected to the PC?

Are you saying you have 2 pc's hooked up to the DAC? If so, why don't you disconnect one and just test with 1 PC?

Thanks but nope.   Connected via the router-wired.  Only happens on one computer; Other one is fine.  I reset modem and dac no help.
