Internal play buffer error....
« on: March 26, 2002, 08:28:32 am »

Hi - I'm getting the following message in a window...

'Internal play buffer error: playing buffer accumulated too much spent data. Please report this error to J River as soon as possible so that it can be fixed.'

The error then won't go away and MJ has to be killed via Task Manager.

This wasn't happening before 8.0.234.

It appears to be reproducable on my system - wait until one song is finishing when when it's still playing but the player window switches to the new song hit the pause button. MJ has (technical term) a cow.

My playback menu options are...

* Cross-fade (agressive)
* Seeking - Smooth (normal)
* Stop - Fadeout (slow)
* Mode - Direct Sound

Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.234

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 1538 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 261 MB, Free - 88 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 5.0 Service Pack 2 (Build 2195)

Internet Explorer: 5.50.4807.2300
ComCtl32.dll: 5.50.4807.2300
Shlwapi.dll: 5.50.4807.2300
Shell32.dll: 5.00.3502.4718
wnaspi32.dll: N/A

Let me know if there's anything else you need.

Try WaveOut instead of DirectX and let us know if it still does it.

Thanks.

Matt - seems to do the trick. Very solid now.

Thanks,
