I have my laptop connected to my stereo and I am using an external DAC...the Audioquest Dragonfly. I am using 5 channels with my Sony receiver. Yet, when I attempt to change the output format to 5 to 1 in the JRiver DSP Studio...it will not allow me to do so.... stating that the input format must also be 5 to 1.
I cannot make this change in the control panel on my laptop.It allows simply 2 to 1 stereo. I am using five speakers with nice sound...but when I attempt to set the output in the DSP studio to 5 to 1, it will not allow playback.
Is there some setting I need to change? or does the fact that I am playing 5 speakers make this a moot point....or am I missing out on a correction that will further enhance my music? Thanks, Cooderhead
