Problems importing to the right place
« on: June 08, 2013, 05:01:35 am »

Hey there

Greetings from a Newbie  ;D

I am very excited to getting started with JRiver MediaCenter but I have run into some problems.

When i under Video marks Home Videos i get a screen saying there are no files. Double-click here to add files to the library.

When i do that and import my home videos there is still no files in the Home Videos folder in MediaCenter, insteed they are alle put under files and i would really like them to be under Home Videos. I have tried a lot of things but i cant seem to figure out how to do it.

So i am hoping for some help here.

Regards,
Thesos

Try going to Tools>Options>Library & Folders  then "Configure Auto Import. If the folder where your Home Videos is not listed "add it". If it is listed, click on edit. Then select/check the File type (Video) and at the bottom under "Apply these tags (optional)" set the "Media Sub Type" to "Video", or "Home Video" if you have created a new media sub type called "Home Video".
