Hi,

I need a bit of advice. I'm using Audiolense and JRiver in a 7.1 setup. The filter is setup to route all bass to the subwoofer below the cross-over point.
What setting should I then use for the subwoofer in the Output Format-menu?
- Silent or send all bass to subwoofer?

Up until now I have sent all abss to the subwoofer but doesn't that mean the sub will get the same signal twice? Both from the Output Format-menu and from the convolution-filter?

If your source already contains an LFE track, then the subwoofer setting in Output Format doesn't do anything. If used with 2-channel sources, then it will keep the mains fullrange and copy bass to the subwoofer channel. When you use convolution, the bass will be doubled since you will again get redirected bass from the mains below your crossover point that is set in Audiolense. I would recommend that you just set it to Silent. This will let Audiolense handle the crossovers and make sure everything is properly time aligned and you will get the proper bass levels.

Thanks for your reply. Can't believe I didn't notice my erroneous subwoofer setting before! In all this time the sub got both a corrected and uncorrected signal :-/.
