RSS Authentication
« on: June 21, 2013, 11:05:48 pm »

Is there any way to subscribe to an RSS feed which requires a username and password in Media Center?

Do you mean Podcast Feed?

If so, just put the username / password into the URL.  This was the first Google match:

Thanks Matt, it didn't even occur to me to try doing that.
I'm not sure I like the idea of storing account information in plaintext, but it's not a major issue in this case.

Not that this is asking for authentication, but I can't get YouTube RSS feeds working: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/USERNAME/uploads
Basically I'm trying to start moving away from streaming or manually downloading content, and having it already be there on my machine when I want to watch it, and be able to stream it to other devices around the house rather than storing anything on them locally.
