Changing JRiver Library's location
« on: July 03, 2013, 10:57:49 am »

Hi,

Would it be possible to choose a specific location for JRiver Library, other than Users/"user name"/Library/Application Support/J River/Media Center 18, like one can do in Itunes, for Instance? This might help to manually move JRiver Library, if needed. I personally use two computers, one for editing and one dedicated for listening music. All my files are stored in an external hard drive and having the possibility to locate there JRiver Library would greatly help me and possibly others for same or other reasons.

regards

You can create a new Library in the location of your choosing.  But MC wants a known location for a default Library, so its path is static.

Maybe you want a portable install?

Or maybe you want Library Server, using a client on your listening station.
