New song won't play

Media center 12. Have it programmed to replace presently playing song with new song on double click. But, when click on new song in windows 8 window, won't play - not even when playing song is over. Worked fine in vista. Can this be made to work?

I'm not sure what this might be.  Double-check that Playing Now contains what you expect.

Keep in mind that Media Center 12 predates Vista and Win8 (by a lot), so you're going to have better luck and support if you try MC19.
