AIFF vs. AIF files
« on: September 04, 2013, 12:43:26 am »

I realize I'm running the risk of embarrassing myself here, but so be it.

For some reason, I can play .aif files but .aiff files in JRMC19. I have the latest update and have made sure that the file association is set properly to automatic.

But whether I drag files into MC or double click them in file explorer, aif plays and aiff won't.

What obvious point am I missing here?

Thanks in advance.

I tried a few .aiff files here and they worked.

Could you mail a sample file that doesn't work and a link to this thread to logs (at) jriver [dot] com?

Thanks.

Thanks for the sample.

Next build:
NEW: Added native support for little-endian PCM AIFF files (previously only the more common big-endian or floating point AIFF files were supported natively).

Thanks a lot for the (characteristically) super-fast reply.

When do you expect the next build will be out?

Hopefully by the end of the week.

We made some internal COM changes that have required a little extra testing by the beta team.
