Get avareage spectrum from many songs?
« on: October 28, 2013, 11:25:00 am »

I realize this is a somewhat odd request, but is there a way in MC/the media editor to get the average spectrum (frequency vs level) from a group of lets say 40 songs?

Are you looking for overall level (RMS volume) or something broken down per frequency?

Preferably plotted frequency vs average level. Minimum broken down into 1/1 or 1/3 octave bands.

Sorry, but I think you're over MC's head.

Maybe someday we'll be able to make spectragrams of audio.  I think it'd be a popular feature.
