To recap my experience and my objectives:

1. Play DSD64, DSD128 native files over DoP
2. Play PCM upsampled to DSD128 over DoP

JRMC19 allows DSD64/128 DoP.

JRMC19 allows PCM2DSDx2 over DoP -  works with Kernel Streaming, WASAPI or 3rd party ASIO

I'm surprised to hear this. Are you certain? PCM2DSDx2 over DoP doesn't work?

1. NEW: Real-time 2xDSD output using DoP (configure in DSP Studio > Output Format).

They didn't say anything about any type of PCM upsampling not working. PCM upsampling is more important to me than DSD upsampling.

PCM2DSDx2 over Dop is new in that build as you note, and it works great.

Everything is working smoothly so far with this new setting with the Vega ASIO driver switching between DSD64/128 tracks and PCM which gets upsampled to DSD128.

I'm was also able to test PCM2DSDx2 using WASAPI as well, works properly showing DSD input on Vega and padded-24bit on MC.

No, sorry I just hadn't seen that they had added that support. I was just looking for the 'undesired resampler' fix.

Read the release notes. 2xDSD over DoP wasn't available before this release, it was added in build 62.

PCM resampling has been available since... forever. MC supports resampling from and to all standard sampling rates.

I'd also like to say a BIG Thank You for the 2XDSD over DoP!!! Sounds amazing!!!

Question:

Would it be possible processing/converting to DSD all 48/96/192kHz files without resampling them first to 44.1/88.2/176.4kHz?
My DSD D/A converter supports 48kHz based DSD (DoP).

 Can somebody explain me the difference between the PCM to DSD128 output encoding over DoP and native.Is the DoP bitstreaming to the DACs in my UD-501,how did the native encoding in JRiver work then?

DoP and Native DSD are exactly the same audio, what differs is the transmission method to the DAC.

1xDSD (DSD64fs) is sent as a 1-bit, 2.8224MHz signal to the DAC.
1xDoP is sent as a 16-bit, 176.4kHz signal.

A common misconception is that DSD is converted from 1-bit to 16-bit audio when streaming as DoP—this is not the case—DoP still contains the original untouched 1-bit DSD audio stream. It's just transmitted as 16 “channels” (for lack of a better word) of 1-bit audio. 2.8224MHz ÷ 16 = 176.4kHz.

Especially when you consider that many newer DACs lack support for Native DSD signals, I suspect that DoP is an “easier” signal to transmit, as itʼs only running at 176kHz rather than 2.8MHz.
