MCE remote problems
« on: November 13, 2013, 04:20:20 pm »

Hi, I was using JRiver 18 side-by-side with Windows Media Center with no problems (I had the remote disabled in JRiver settings).

But having JRiver 19 installed seems to block some of the MCE remote button operations, even when the remote is disabled in the settings. Eg. the Play and Pause buttons work OK but the skip forwards/backwards and Stop buttons don't work!! If I close JRiver 19 and kill the background process the buttons work OK again in Media Center.

Please can anyone help me with this?
Many thanks,

I use MCE remotes and they can be tricky if you use more than one Media Center program.

There are plenty of threads on the site about MCE remotes, but they all pre-date MC19...

I will try reverting to v18 to see if that fixes it...

had to use this as well as disabling the remote:

Options > General > Advanced > Media key mode: Disabled
