Stops Playing After EVERY Song
« on: November 24, 2013, 04:44:00 pm »

I'm running MC19 on a Windows Vista installation for the last couple of months. The problem started a few weeks ago. At first it would automatically pause the music after about an hour. But now, it does so after EVERY song! I'm also using GIZMO via my Moto Defy Android phone over my WiFi net. The music library is installed on an outboard Seagate Free Agent Xtreme with a 500GB drive, Firewire 400 connected to a Gateway laptop. Anyone got a clue?
Thanx.

What type of file are you playing?  And what are you playing it to?

A virus checker can sometimes do strange things.

Jim,

I'm using both MP3 and FLAC files. Playing to a new MyDAC (24/192), which feeds direct to a high power MOSFET amp. Are you suggesting that my antivirus software might have something to do with it?

Just to check ...

Please make sure you don't have the repeat option enabled 'stop after each item'. You can check this via the repeat icon in the upper right corner next to the DSP icon.

Can you test playback to another device?  DAC's can sometimes be tricky to set correctly.

You could try using DSP Studio / Output Settings to resample (up or down) everything.
