Any updates to number of songs and maximum streaming bit-rate?
« on: December 05, 2013, 01:32:11 pm »

Since Performer Media Center is backed by MediaNet, I wondered if there have been any updates to it since Performer Media Center was integrated into JRiver Media Center? MediaNet states they have 16 million tracks for download and 20 million tracks for internet radio with high bit-rate streaming up to 320 kbps.

Does Performer Media Center now have 20 million tracks and 320 kbps streaming?

I'm counting songs as I type. I'm up to 37 so far.

Any plans for increased bit-rate?

Last we checked there was a lot of leg-work to get permission to do MP3 streaming.  Things like white papers you file with labels, etc.

I'll check into it again and post if I learn anything.

Thanks.

Nice response time. If I have an important question I now know where to post it.  ;D

Now that Deezer is available in the US and it and Tidal offer lossless music, it would be nice if either Performer Store offered lossless music or if a different service was integrated into JRiver.

Deezer is available in 183 countries, has 25+ million song, and has lossless music. It might be a great service for JRiver.

By the way, MediaNet now says they have 32+ million songs. I assume Performer is now up to that amount.
