same output to multiple channels
« on: December 19, 2013, 05:59:19 pm »

I have a gigaport USB sound card. It has 8 independent channels. I want to output a stereo signal to channels 1 & 2 (left/right). Same output to channels 3 & 4. Same output to channels 5 & 6. Same output to channels 7 & 8.

That is, I want to drive 4 stereo amplifiers with the same signal. In the DSP, there are provisions for 4 channels, then 10, but not 8. I have been able to get 4 channels of output, but can't seem to do it if I have a channel offset.

Am I doing something wrong??

In DSP Studio > Output Format, pick '2 channels (inside a 7.1 container)'.

Then use Parametric Equalizer to copy from L,R to the other three sets of channels.

Matt - I see how to reorder the channels, but don't see how to copy.

Ahh. Copy is under the Mix tab. Got it.
