« on: February 08, 2014, 12:00:38 am »

Looking for some help streaming SACD image to OPPO 105D, can it be done?

I have the JL remote working fantastic with my OPPO 105D, this would be the icing on the cake if I can get it working.

Thnx

See this http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=86430.msg590696#msg590696

Personally I don't own any SACD so I could not test that (I only tested DSD) but the approach in the beta version that I tested ought also to do SACD. Suggest you give it a try whenever the release version comes out...

Doe Oppo still support SACD Iso playback? I thought it had been dropped?

Despite apparent fixes in new version I still cannot stream DSD or SACD ISO to OPPO. It "streams", but only hiss is heard, even as OPPO shows it is playing...
However when feed via USB to regular non-DSD DAC it plays just fine.
I have the latest versions of JRiver and OPPO BDP-105 software...

Can you please provide more information about playing a given SACD disk on your Oppo?

1. Presumably it does play when you put the physical disk in the player?
2. Does the same disk (image) play when you use Oppo's SMB feature to browse and play the track from a network folder?
3. Does it play when you use Oppo's Upnp/Dlna feature to browse and play (pull) the track from MC's Upnp server?
4. Does it play when you use MC's Upnp/Dlna feature to browse and play (push) the track to the Oppo?

Andrew,
I answer some of your questions on Media Server forum with details ( http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=86430.0 ), but here you go
1. It does not play SACD-R disks as it is now prohibited by OPPO. It does, however, plays Original SACD (physical disk) and DSF files from USB drive. It does not play DSF via JRiver
2. See (1)
3. and 4. No in both cases.

Look at bob's post here...

You probably have the DoPE box checked in the DLNA server advanced audio configuration (uncheck it) or the output format isn't set to "original format".
