Drive Letter Changed
« on: February 16, 2014, 08:27:46 am »

Hearing good things about JRiver I decided to give it a try. The playback and presentation facilities are very good but file organisation and attribute changes are a nightmare.
After attaching cover art to a music file, that is a digitalization of an Compact Cassette, JRiver could not find any files. A closer look showed that drive had changed from V:\ to U:\, WHAT?! OK, I solved that one using the change filename option.
Next attempt, same operation to another CC-file. Now the cover art does not show up and all my file are on both S:\ and T:\ drive, What is going on? Can I block JRiver from relocating my files?
Is there a single track step by step instruction of cover art attaching?
Thanks for any help.

Windows changed your drive because of some other device.  MC won't do that or move your files.  Try an Internet search to learn more.
