Changing volume changes balance

Since some time I have got the problem that when changing the volume of MC or my Mac the balance L/R changes a bit to one side. This happens only if MC is running... Does anybody know how I manage to fix that?

Using MC Mac 19.0.103 / OS X 10.8.5
