JRiver MC 19 (19.0.117) crashing on Windows 8.1
« on: March 02, 2014, 12:35:30 pm »

I recently installed JRiver MC Version 19.0.117 on my XPS running a clean install off Windows 8.1. I am using the DAC of my McIntosh MA7900. MC 19 always crash after maybe 1-2 minutes open. Setting are tools/options/audio/audio Device McIntosh [ASIO] and I tried McIntosh USB Audio [WASAPI]. While I was typing this I unplugged the USB from the computer and switched tools/options/audio/audio Device to HDMI. Unfortunately JRiver MC still crash. I may be able to play one song or no song for that matter. Just leave the application open and it crashes. I followed JRiver advise several times after a crash. Backup library, remove app, restart Windows, Reinstall app. Same. Any suggestions ?

I am using a test version. I don't wanna buy a software which can not even run stable for 10 minutes

Try 19.0.119 from the top of this board.

Read the antivirus thread here.
