Muddied audio with .bdmv files
« on: March 13, 2014, 08:38:49 am »

Hello,

I've used MakeMKV to create (supposed) backups of a handful of Blu-Ray discs (e.g., The Rolling Stones Sweet Summer Sun: Hyde Park Live). When I attempt to open the files in MC, I get muddied/inaudible audio output, with no readily apparent problem with the video output. My output diagram is JRMC19 -> S/PDIF Pass-Through Device (ASUS Xonar Essence STX) [WASAPI] -> Toslink cable -> Peachtree Nova -> RCA cables -> AudioEngine A2+.

Any input/help on this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. My answers to your questions are as follows:

Options > Audio: ASUS Xonar Essence STX Audio Device [WASAPI]

DSP > Output Format: None

I have also compressed my signal path such that it is now as follows: My output diagram is JRMC19 -> ASUS Xonar Essence STX Audio Device [WASAPI] -> RCA cables -> AudioEngine A2+.

My H

Thanks again for taking an interest in my problem.
