Topic: Question about cross-fading between tracks (Read 1955 times)

Hello,

I mostly listen to my music as one huge random playlist of everything I have rated as 4 or 5 stars. I rarely listen to full albums anymore, so I really like the cross-fade feature between tracks.

However, it seems like it doesn't start until the beginning of the next track, even though I have it set to the max of 16 seconds.
Is there anyway to change this so it really feels more like a DJ mix with the cross fade starting from the some point at the end of the current and carrying forward into the beginning of the next track?

What type of tracks are you playing?
Are you playing to a networked device, or something directly attached to your PC?

I am not sure how that is relevant, but here is the info.

Music is varied from classical, new age (Kitaro and Vangelis mostly) and ambient to old school Jungle, drumnbass, progressive trance, tech house, and dubstep.
Music is on the local hard disk.

Sorry, by "Types" I meant; are you playing MP3s, FLACs, DSD files etc.
All CD quality, or a mixture of CD quality and "HD" tracks?

Most CD quality, rips of my CDs, and some mix sets downloaded from the Internet.
