I like to switch into Theater mode while music is playing, and switch back occasionally to Standard View to add a song to the queue or whatever. Usually the first time I switch back and forth everything works well, subsequent switches find the MC 32 application unresponsive. though the music still plays. I can get to the Id menu, but the only choices there are a reboot. Since the music is still playing, a reboot isn't what I want to do. How can I regain control of MC 32. Is there a secret key combo that will work?

How are you controlling it?  Keyboard and mouse?  Try F11.  Or remote desktop?

Hook up a keyboard and mouse to test.  It's probably due to the remote desktop software. You could test other software.

I have a mouse and keyboard attached to the Id. Next time this happens I'll see if they work. In the interim any suggestions for alternative remote desktop apps for either Windows or Mac?

That's been discussed somewhere here.
