« on: June 22, 2014, 07:22:21 am »

looking for simple off the shelf solution, nothing radical. have about 5" of height to replace old dell dimension 5150c. need optical audio out, and ability to output component and either composite or svideo simultaneously. (also have some jaton video card px8400gs-lx think its mini pcie16x -low profile that worked with old machine. anyone have ideas or old machine you want to unload . need dvd player integrated as well. any ideas? thx.

I think it is going to be pretty challenging to find the component analog outs, without a separate converter box of some kind.

Something like this might work:

You'd have to add an external DVD drive, since it doesn't have one integrated.  But you could get an external USB slim one for almost nothing and stack it on top.  And, that would still require you to be able to use VGA or HDMI out.  If you can't, and really need component, you'd have to add something like one of these:
