Display option for liner notes
« on: July 04, 2014, 07:04:33 am »

In the audio library, is there a way to activate a second display for liner notes, or rotate cover art and liner notes? These often appear in jpg format. I've used various OCR programs with mediocre results, and retyping is painful.

There was a previous question on rotating cover art in October 2013 but I couldn't find a response and a search didn't turn up similar questions/answers.

TIA for suggestions/help.

This is an often requested feature (in fact there is a similar post not too far down the forum:  http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=88334.0).

In this old post with a similar request, MrC mentions that his understanding is that it would require substantial architectural changes to implement:  http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=76022.0

The work around would be to import all of the Images (various pieces of Album Art, liner notes as .jpg, etc) into MC, then use Customize View to change your Audio Views to include the Images for each Album along with the Tracks.  You could then create a "manual" Slideshow for each Album.  I have never done it myself since I don't really have an interest (plus it sounds like quite a bit of work to initially set-up); however, Alex B seems to have done it.  Here is a post with some info as well as links to his other Cover Art guides:  http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=43844.0

Thanks. I somehow missed that thread.

Alexander B's. process is too time-consuming. I'll go back to OCR converting. It works well on straightforward text but can't handle anything with a colored background.
