Newbie question
« on: July 16, 2014, 02:54:24 am »

Hi all,

I've just started to dump my CDs onto a HDD for streaming playback. I've just downloaded JRiver and have about 300 cds imported into it so far. I've been using DBP to rip the discs.

Like iTunes, this player displays VA albums multiple times. This is very annoying. Is there any way to tell the player to group all the tracks of an album together?

Cheers

JRiver thinks an album is an album if "Album title" and "Album Artist" (not to be mistaken for Artist) are the same.

Sorry..don't get it. So what's the fix?

Thanks for responding Vincent.

You probably have different performers in the Album Artist.

To preserve this information copy Album Artist to Artist (see Excel type expressions: http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/Players/MC14/MC_Expression_excel.htm )
Set Album Artist too the same value for the entire album e.g. Various Artist
