IR control of setup boxes
«

Now that I have two set top boxes being controlled by MC, I am seeing some differences in how they handle the IR control. One of them seems to work fine everytime. The other one seems to drop a number periodically causing the box to not change channel. I have posted before about using tcp or serial to communicate with these boxes and in one of those threads (
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=74398.0
) Jim mentioned changing the delay time between sending numbers to box. Is this something that I can change? I looked and I didn't see anyplace where this was user configurable, but I may have missed it.
Thanks,
Alex

Sorry, channel-changing IR blaster delay is hard-coded. I should make it configurable.
Have you tried changing the position of the blaster? The performance is quite sensitive to the position.

I haven't tried that, I will give it a shot tonight.
Thanks,
