[Fixed] Enable volume when bitstreaming
« on: August 28, 2014, 09:08:14 am »

5. NEW: Added a volume command 'Enable volume when bitstreaming' to force the volume slider to stay active even if it's bitstreaming.

This does not work for me when bitstreaming DSD. I hope this allows me to control the volume in an exasound DAC?
Thanks

I do not know how to use this feature either.
Can anyone show us how to enable this?

Thanx - but No it did not.
I have a different DAC.
I just wonder, if this feature is user selectable or not?
If it is , where is it?
Your hardware needs to support this feature.

Does this link help?

This is a feature of certain particular DACs, which have a physical volume control that can be programmatically increased and decreased.

If your DAC does not have this feature, which would require specialized software for Windows (or OSX) from the DAC manufacturer, then it won't work for you.  The exasound one linked above is the only one I know of, but if there are others, it should work with them as well.

Thanks for the fix. I can confirm, that I can control volume in an exaSound DAC now when Bitstreaming DSD using the JRiver plugin.
