Track / Playlist Associations
« on: September 10, 2014, 12:02:10 pm »

Hi, I have about 8000 files in my Library and about 350 playlists.

Is there anyway I can find out in an automated form, which tracks are not associated with a playlist?

Yes, I know that I can hover over each individual track and it will show if it is associated with any playlists, but I don’t really want to do this 8000 times!!

Thanks

there might be a more elegant way to do this (so chime in people with some isempty( expression^^)

But what you can do is create a playlist group (like a new folder); right click on PLAYLISTS in the tree -- move your playlists to be under the group (or groups like jazz rock etc) you just created

then you could set it up like the attachment here choosing the group(s)

Of course New Group has to be replaced with a your group name

hope this helps until someone comes up with a cleaner way of doing this

Go to audio and list tracks by files.

Right click on the header where it says "Artist" , "Name", etc.  On the list that comes up, scroll down to "Playlists" and select.  Close the listing as "Playlists" should now be one of your columns.

Left click on "Playlists".  This will sort all your files by playlists.  Scroll down until you see blanks in the category (you can go quicker by grabbing the scroll bar on the left).  These files are not in any playlist.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, that sounds an easy solution. However, followed you suggestions, went to "Audio" and Files, but "Playlists" does not appear as one of the header options.

In the selections I have  - Play Button / Playback Info / Playback Range, but no sign of playlists

I am running Media Jukebox V 14.0.166

Am I missing something?

Thanks
