In MC's options, use Filetypes to tell MC to play m4p with QT.

Figured it out!....My computer is set up to play to DAC by default directly through an USB port, but somehow for the iTunes/Apple files (m4p) it "forced" the playback through the onboard sound card, but no sound was emanating because there is no SPDIF cable! Disabled it and everything now runs thru the USB to the DAC....weird how just those file made that happen

After following all the advices about how to play m4p files in JR (19.0.163), I still do not get the sound out my USB sound card. iTunes plays the file fine, but QT behaves the same way as JR--it appears to play the tune but with no sound. It seems that I need to set some switch in QT to make it work? But, I do not see any way to modify my QT (7.7.6). I also tried to re-download the file from the iTunes shop, but it is no longer available. What shall I do?

I forgot to mention that all of that is taking place on a Windows 8.1 Samsung laptop.
