How to upgrade license on an off line OS?
« on: September 20, 2014, 02:51:33 am »

Hi JR,

Currently I'm using Win OS 8.1 for all ripping and meta data handling. This OS is on line.
Playback is done on Win OS Server 2012 R2. This OS is off line. No problem to upgrade to MC 20 on both OS's.

The only issue is how to install valid license on the off line OS?

Can I use the same license key for both OS's?

Thanks,
Brian

Yes, execute the same .mjr file on 2012R2, it will work if you are still within the 14 days period.
If not, you will need another restore, generating a new .mjr key.

You are allowed a maximum of 10 keys a year, each key lasts for 14 days and can be used on your other personal computers.
