How to turn off Library Server, Gizmo and only use DLNA
« on: September 22, 2014, 04:32:54 pm »

This was asked before: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=89366.msg613595#msg613595

But there was no answer. Can those webservers just be turned off without losing DNLA?

After experimentation, have decided we need a details view and windows remote desktop access. That preserves the search function and it's faster.

I just want to turn all the webserver functions off.

You need to serve the files somehow to a DLNA device right? So it has to be enabled.

Maybe it would help to understand what you are trying to prevent. If it is external (wan) web access, this should be done in your firewall (best in the router itself), if your LAN is secure shouldn't be a problem. Or is there some other reason? There are also settings for access controls if you want to block certain content that maybe you could use?
