JRemote connection with laptop

So it has been awhile since I connected with JRemote. Since the last time, I changed from a PC to Mac for our main computer (still same email address) and my JRiver application is still on the original PC laptop I installed it on.

I cannot connect to the laptop with JRemote. I tried using the 6 letter access code. I get messages that say it found two IP addresses (possibly the old PC and now the new Mac?) and then it times out. I tried lespaul's suggestion of a new access code...same story.

Getting really frustrated...help

Have you tried to connect by IP address instead?

You can obtain the IP of your laptop by typing cmd and ipconfig in the "run command" window.

Search for the IPv4 address.

Could you post or send me your connection summary?
It`s most likely a firewall or network issue though.
