No sound for a few seconds after video playback starts...
« on: October 23, 2014, 02:09:19 am »

I'm getting sound for a few seconds after video playback starts.

This seems to me to be new behavior.

Has anyone seen something like this?

I have heard about it with certain configurations, where either the receiver takes longer to initialize the sound stream or where the TV is connected separately from audio (ie, using hdmi to the tv and s/pdif or something for audio).

I actually had the reverse at one time, where I heard the sound but the screen stayed black for a few seconds.

Try reducing the buffering in Option > Audio > Device settings.
