Realtek HD Audio Background Process
« on: October 24, 2014, 08:24:37 am »

I'm problem solving JRiver on a Lenovo Yoga 2 13 laptop - i5 8gig ram SSD windows 8.1 - running as client accessing files located on desktop - homegroup.

I've had some crashes and I'm just trying to eliminate suspects.

Taskmanager on the laptop lists  3 instances of HD Audio Background Process (Realtek).  Is that normal or redundant?

I don't have any processes listed for my realtek card (after disabling the realtek control panel from running on startup). You might try updating the drivers from the realtek site. It will ask to do a full uninstall, reboot, and install.
