I think my problem is, I dont actually know how to describe the problem.

I watch a video, and when the scene cuts to the next scene, I get bits of the last scene on the current scene. But only for a second. It is hard to explain...

If I am watching with no cuts, I have no problem.

I have tried Standard and Red October HQ, and I have checked the temperature of my video card (GTX 560Ti) but there seems to be no problem.

If anyone can even just help me identify where to look with this, they will be a big help.

Try disabling hardware acceleration.
 
Tools → Options → Video → Hardware accelerate video decoding when possible

Seems like a bad video if it's happening with hardware acceleration disabled.
What's the source?

It happens with all kinds of sources.

HD content and SD video files.

Could it be the refresh rate? the content is 25fps but my screen is 60hz

Have you tried updating your video card driver to the latest version?

Try to post a screenshot here, because it's not what I was expecting if disabling hardware acceleration does not fix it.

Video card drivers are the lastest and freshly installed.

It is hard to do a screen shot because it is only on for a fraction of a second.

Are they all interlaced sources?

I can see a deinterlacing system having this kind of impact in some cases.

I change the settings in madVR to "automatically activate deinterlacing when needed" and "if in doubt, activate deinterlacing"

and it seems to be better thanks!
