You can add it to a web shortcut in standard view or theatre view.

Here's what it looks like and how you add it to theatre view.

You can do the same for most web based streaming services.  You can of course also go full screen for video.

And you can use the new WDM driver to catch the output and route it through MC.

To add to Matts response.... you need to route audio to a loopback zone different than the current zone as per this thread if you want to use MC20 audio processing in the MC20 built in web browser.

Hmm, no response I see.
Maybe time to switch to Kodi? They support Wimp...

You could try the WDM driver. I use Wimp (which I think is only available in Norway and a few other countries) using the WDM driver and it works just fine. At least as long as I stay in stereo, don't upmix to 7.1 and run 15 paths convolution DSP filter.

Its not as good as integrated, but as long as Wimp doesn't have any API it would be difficult to implement from JRiver's side. Or so I gather from previous discussions on this forum. The same with Spotify and Netflix.

How does Kodi/XBMC do this?

Have a read here.

There's an interesting idea of using a script to scrape the hires albums urls of interest and create M3U8 playlists which can be imported into MC20.

http://www.computeraudiophile.com/blogs/geoffrey-armstrong/lossless-streaming-services-634/

Doesn't quite allow random playback of Streaming services, but it still works in the context of adding a streaming album to your library which is good enough for me.

My guess is this approach could potentially be used for other streaming services too where you can scrape the urls of interest with a script and then store them in playlists. (as long as the authentication is contained in the script and saved URL)
Of course you'll probably need to update the urls from time to time.

Of course there is an API, it is just not open to any third party.

As stated above, Tidal is the US version of Wimp, both owned by the Swedish company Aspiro. So I guess if JRiver could get the APIs for Tidal and Wimp from Aspiro, they could integrate both fully into MC, which would be awesome, since we're talking about lossless streaming here, which for example Spotify doesn't offer yet.
