Exclusive Access
« on: January 12, 2015, 11:40:41 pm »

Does JRiver always exclusively take control of a device? I am using ASIO and although I dont have "allow applications to take exclusive control in my sound settings in windows", if I am playing JRiver nothing else can play at the same time. (ie by pressing pause and then allowing something else to happen)

Is that right? Is there a way to stop that happening?

Thanks

Turn off exclusive mode under tools>options>audio>device settings

Note that ASIO will usually override any system audio and mostly always be exclusive. ASIO doesn't have such a setting, the ASIO driver controls this behaviour.
