Basic Remote Question?

Hello,
 
I was wondering if the ios JRiver Remote App for the iPhone 6 would work with JRiver (version 19) on a PC?  Or does the ios version remote only work with a mac computer?

Also, if it works, will I be able to turn my monitor off and just use the phone and PC to navigate/play through the music on JRiver.  Or is the remote just used as a replacement for a keyboard and mouse?

 Sorry if these questions are dum and have been asked a million times ?

JRemote works with MC on Windows or Mac or Linux.   You can use it to play music without turning a monitor on.

JRemote.net is very outdated, the screenshots are of a much older version.
I think it might be time for a site refresh soon.
