D-link DCH-M225 wi-fi extender with DLNA, not rendering properly
« on: February 02, 2015, 06:06:04 pm »

Has anyone had experience with this D-link wi-fi extender/DLNA product?    I can start a session in another room using Gizmo, to stream to the d-link DCH-M225, but it might take a minute or two before song plays, or, Gizmo will show 5 seconds of progress playing and then the next song loads, and the 5 second cycle repeats going to the next song.  Not stable or reliable.  Take all help I can get.  Thanks!

In MC try right-clicking on the zone, DLNA Controller options, turn off SetNext support.

Hi bob,

How many times a month do you need to make that suggestion? I ask that because it is probably the same amount of effort that you would need to program MC to set this switch automatically. Just download the DDD which you do anyway. Parse for the SCPDs URLs which you do anyway. Download the SCPD for AVTransport which you do anyway. Parse the SCPD and look for the SetNextAVTransportURI declaration (or not). Set the respective MC Option switch accordingly.

Hi Andrew,
There are 2 issues, one that the function doesn't exist which shouldn't lead to trouble since I'm already looking for that. The other is that it exists and doesn't work properly.
