Crash with Custom Views in 20.0.78
« on: February 26, 2015, 09:09:20 am »

I have a custom view for audio. Right now, it doesn't show files, says it is looking for files, and crashes after exiting that view.

The problem seems to be making a custom audio view using "Categories". Everything else seems to work, but the minute I set the view to categories, the content disappears.

I create a Categories view no problem.  I tested with Album as a test.

Is there some list of categories that causes the problem?

Hmmm. Actually, right now, it crashes when I exit my custom view no matter what at the moment. Let me do a few computer "whole computer" tests to see what's going on ...

I have two crash logs. But I can't attach them as they are both too large. Where do I send them?

I reinstalled, got rid of a calculated field etc ... but it still crashes when changing views ...

I'm going back to 74 in the meantime

Thank you.

I can definitely reproduce a crash.  Still a mystery about why, but I'm working on it.

A fix has been published to beta.

If it holds up, we'll move it here tomorrow.

Should I send my library file also, or are the problems too similar and I should wait for tomorrow's fix?

Thanks for the offer, but just wait for the fix.  I'm pretty sure it'll all be sorted.

If not, send away!
