Android Wear support
« on: April 18, 2015, 06:24:08 am »

Hi,

When using Gizmo to play music on the phone, I can control the music with my new LG G Watch R running Android Wear. But it doesn't work when playing music or video on other zones controlling it with Gizmo. Is is possible to do that somehow, maybe with some third party Wear app? And is better Android Wear support in Gizmo in the pipeline?

There are no plans for Android Wear at this point.

Audunth, I'm curious if you've seen this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kV1yZmrNAig talking about a 3rd party app for $2.00 called "Wear Music Controller"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.barkside.music

I don't have a smart watch but have been looking around, perhaps you could offer some testing results?

I'd be curious if this app would work w/ gizmo, jremote, eos.

or if you found another way to control Jrivers Apps just as one can with smartphones.

I just downloaded and tried the Wear Music Controller app, and unfortunately, it offers only the same support as the stock music control, which basically lets me play/pause, skip, volume when music is played on the device, like any bluetooth headset. As soon as I play music on a zone, it won't control it, same with video, even on the device.

I've tried with Gizmo, JRemote and Eos.
