Output Encoding
« on: May 10, 2015, 11:09:26 am »

Hi.
One year ago I purchased the 20 version, and the master license also. I'm an enthusiastic..... but, I find a very big limitation in the DSP (Studio>Output Format>Output Encoding).
When I want to set "DSD in DoP format" every PCM signals are playing in DSD. In my opinion, this is not a good thing, because, only the fs 44.1 kHz, sounds very good in this way. The other fs above the 44.1 kHz with the 24 bit resolution, sound bad. (This is the common opinions of many  Audiophiles friends)

My question is this:

May you  release an update, to able to do  the choice  of the  "DSD in DoP format" only for the 16 bit 44.1 kHz ?

Strange thread!

I also find it very odd that several people, who have never posted before, think that the sound from MC is currently "bad" and that this change would make it "good".

I'm wondering if thicker speaker cable might help...

Couldn't you use Zone Switch and have two zones each with their own settings and just switch on [Sample Rate]>44100?

It seems like that would be the 100% solution.  It would definitely work for album playback.

Maybe one of our seven brand new forum members could try that method and advise whether that would meet their needs.

We are an audiophiles friends group with a Face BooK page also (1.340 members) https://www.facebook.com/groups/1535304010066487/ , and we want specify that we are enthusiast MC estimators. This are the first message for everybody, and many of us don't speaks English. We think that, convert (only) the Red Book in the DSD format it is the best way to improvement the CD sound quality and enjoy this "new"  experience. As I wrote, the others PCM fs signals, gets a negative manipulation, so, they sound in a not optimal way.

Sorry for my bad English..... :)

P.S.: We appreciate your sarcasm about the speakers cable

No, because zoneswitch does not work with playlists.

Couldn't you use Zone Switch and have two zones each with their own settings and just switch on [Sample Rate]>44100?

+1 DSD selectable only for 16/44.1 fs is all well and good :)
