It turns out that for a Subscription, if one chooses "Record By Time" then the next screen allows "padding" (period of time before and after the program to record), but does not apply them.
There is logical support for either applying them (because they are specified), or not applying them (because the user has already supplied the exact start and end times).
However, if MC20 is not applying them, then they should be grayed out.
