Cannot copy cd
« on: September 24, 2003, 08:39:10 am »

i'm still having a bear of a time cburning.  9.1.257, xp home, lite on 52x/liteon dvd.

if i try to copy a ce, i mark all tracks, drag it to the burn icon and try to start.  i click the button in the lower right, and a small window pops up, which looks like it has status bars, but it's blank.  nothing happens, and if i try to end the program, xp tells me its not responding.

i can burn no problem with nero, which i installed to let me do this when mc9 woudn't, but i'd still like to be able to do it in mc9.

nobody from jriver has responded.  please help--i'm  a registered user, and think something as basic as copying a music cd should be well within mc9's capabilities...what's the frequency, kenneth?
thanks

You don't need to drag any files anywhere if you're ripping.  Just open the CD in the tree and do tools/rip cd.

If you mean "copy a cd" literally and you're trying to duplicate an audio CD, you can't do that.  Rip then burn.

The help file has useful info.

Rip to wav or ape.

Burn to audio.
