Windows 10
« on: July 29, 2015, 10:34:32 am »

My computer is running windows 7 ultimate (64) and I have MC 17 on it and love it. I have about 1300 songs down loaded and no issues playing them at any time. I do have a question about windows 10 on older versions. Is my version MC 17 compatible with windows 10 or will there be issues. I'm not the greatest computer buff around and it took me a while to get MC where I wanted all of my songs to be displayed and in the order that I like and I really hate to loose this over a stupid upgrade. I kind of envy most of you tech guys around here because you're able to correct any issues, me on the other hand, not that talented. So if there are issues but work arounds, I won't switch, if there will be no glitches, then I probably will make the switch. Then again.............

Thanks for any help with this!!

I can't speak for MC 17, but I know for a fact that MC 19, MC 20 and MC 21 works fine on Windows 10.

I really have not done any upgrading on MC because I mainly use it as a audio juke box so to speak. I don't play enough movies on my system to take advantage of the video part, just mainly the audio. If I do upgrade to MC 21, is it a simple upgrade, or will I have to move things around and will my songs be maintained in the order that I currently have them on MC17?

I am currently running Windows 7 and MC 17.  I tried the free upgrade to 10 and MC 17 stopped working.  Am I doing something wrong or do I have to buy a newer version of MC?

Reinstall MC17 after upgrading to Windows 10.

Ended up buying a new HP computer with Windows 10.  Reinstalled MC 17.  Plugged in my five external hard drives (9 TBs) and fired it up.  Everything runs great for about 30 minutes then I get a Visual C++ Runtime Library Error and Media Center crashes.  What's wrong?
