Media Center puts in UNC paths into settings

Steps

Under Windows Ubuntu Studio, Tools->options->File Location set up various UNC paths (e.g. \\192.168.1.69\music\CD) to your media (e.g. Audo (CD Rips and Podcasts) path, images, other video, etc etc.
Save library somewhere.

Under latest Ubuntu Studio...
Open JRiver 21.0.4 for Linux
Restore that library. It may crash or something (you may have to kill JRiver, see https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=99472.0 for further info).
When you finally get JRiver running again goto  Tools->options->File Location

Expected.

Warning about UNC paths being invalid in Linux, preferably a prompt asking for alternative file paths

Actual

Invalid UNC paths are displayed here.


I think more QA is needed in the settings area when porting libraries between various OS's...

MC doesn't care what your file paths are or whether they exist. It's up to the user to correct errant paths. As you can imagine, having a dialog display when a path isn't available would wreak havoc on many NAS users.

But I'm not talking about a path that does not exist here, I'm talking about an invalid path for Linux. Slashes the wrong way etc.

Form validation probably flags this when a user types them in, other methods of entering in the data should do the same.
