Host List does not come up on admin pc
« on: August 31, 2005, 03:40:38 pm »

Using Version 5.1.25 of Telnet Pro. Have only one pc using the software. The IP address doesn't stick in the address bar, and the host icon is greyed out. Tried the regedit of deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER J River folder and get back into Telnet Pro and it's still coming up with blank white screen, and doesn't allow Host button to be pressed.  Any other suggestions?

Sounds like there is a registry permissions issue on your PC.
It could be that you have a virus checker or something similar preventing you from altering the registry.
Check for that first. If you can't find the problem try the workarounds below.

Instead of deleting the entry, try opening up the permissions.

You could also work around it by exporting the HKCU->Software->J.River folder with regedit from a machine working the way you want and importing it (double clicking on the export file) on the misbehaving machine.
