Mixing MC21 & MC22 in a Client-Server Environment
« on: July 24, 2016, 01:33:03 pm »

I have seen references to the fact you cannot use a MC21 client with a MC22 server.
Is the same true for a MC22 client with a MC21 server?

Yes.  They both need to be the same version.

actually.... i found that running v 22 server and v22 client on a intra network doesn't connect. But running a v21 server connects fine with a v21 & v22 client. In fact as soon as i have v22 server running on windows 2008 server R2 no client will connect at all regardless the clients platform.

Starting v21 on the server will serve all clients regardless whether v21 or v22

Oh dear, this is all unfortunate.

I have upgraded my Windows Server to V22 and two Windows Clients to V22, but I have a Linux client on V21 (as V22 not available).  I have a master licence

What are my options?

I'd rather not have to downgrade the Windows machines.

cheers

Scrub my last message.  I now see that V22 for Linux was released in last few days.  Will upgrade the Linux machine.

Apologies for waste of bandwidth.  :o
