Creating a new playlist via the action window and then dropping files on it updates the list but doesn't show it in the window until you switch to another and then back.

tonight's install required a restore license to proceed. Tried to install a new license file I asked, but it says:

"Error restoring MC license. Failed to open registry. You must have admin privilege to install the license."

My account is Jaguu and member of the Adminstrators group.

Or do you mean I already have to buy a new license?

I read this thread, but how does one actually buy the 1/2 price upgrade to v10?

The half-price showed up automatically when I visited the buy website (by choosing BUY NOW when MC first opened).  I assume something somewhere is smart enough to know it's an upgrade.

Setting ripping to "secure" seems to cause MC to crash whenever a CD is inserted or removed from the system.  Setting MC back to another mode will not fix the problem.  I've fiddled with this for a while, and i'm pretty sure that's what's causing the problem.  It is also a problem with 9.1.316.  MC crashes with an error message akin to "Cannot Create Plugin"

Additionally, when last i checked (which was a while ago) MC was unable to properly parse dates for the month of january.  i.e. entering a date of 1-1-2003 will cause the auto month field to show up as unassigned.

Hello,

I had added an additional tag "Language", but that doesn't seem to show up in v10 :\.

Should there not be an icon for each of the catagories?
There is a nice one for Audio . . . .  and it even turns Gold when you select Audio!  And when you select Video it turns blue-ish  :)
Real nice effect.
But I expected another for each other catagory besides Audio, no?

I installed v10 tonight, and tried to purchase.  The screen says 39.95.

When will I see $10 as the charge?  I did not fill out the screen so I am not charged 39.95.

Is what I'm seeing any different than what the rest of the folks who did register for $10?

Upgrade purchase worked like a champ.
What did it cost you?  You've been around quite a while, so I would think you got the free upgrade from v8 to v9, what did you have to pay?

I have the same problem trying to purchase.  I launch MC10, click on Help>Buy and am brought to the page where it states $39.95.

I think I'll wait a bit for this to be worked out.

***EDIT*** I'm an idiot.  I have an original V8 license that was upgraded to a V9 license.

Looks like I'm payin' full price.  :D  So, things are working as they should.  Sorry for the false report.

Error to restore the license

What have I bougth on 6.12. ??  ?

Tree days ago(6.12.) i have download MC 10.0.10
and bougth an upgrade license ( I have bought MJ 7, 8/9 and now 10) . The registration
via Internet was o.k. for MC 10.0.10

Then ( after 1 hour) I got two mails with two mjr-  files (different names) with this text :

Thank you for your purchase of Upgrade MJ8 to Media Center 9 from JRiver, Inc. for $19.98 ??  ???? >:(

now, after installing MC 10.0.12 MC says I have to buy MC 10 !¨!!
And I'm unable to install the license from the two different mjr files and over the Internet.

What can I do ?

I get the same error message.
When I try to buy a license I get a price of $9.99 (Upgrade price.). Does MC recognize my license although it says otherwise in 'Help'->'Registration Info' ?

What will happen if I buy the upgrade? Will it work?

MC10 is still adding one to the track count when updating tags.
(Edit 3 tags, MC reports 'saving 1 of 4')

Ogg playback from a media server still shows the song length as "live". This means you can't tell what position in the song you are.

I'm all in for the 12.99.  But, I have a question, Can I upgrade 'now' for 12.99 (if so, how), or do I need to wait for the next build?

I just went to 'Buy Media Center' and the resulting page shows 39.99.

Let me know,

Thanks

Bug?

Sometimes, sorry can't give more information, the volume of MC decreases without cause (= I don't make any changes to the sliders, nor does anyone else) - if I "stop" and then "play" again the volume is like before.
Very curious, isn't it?

:-[Ops... I lost the $ 12,99 offer price to upgrade from version 8 to 10. I paid the full price today, $ 39,98. Can I be refunded, if it's not a problem to the JRiver?
Let me know if you can reduce the amount charged on my credit card, or not!  ?
Thanks.

1) Did that already yesterday. It says Version:9 in the license file.

2) It's ok. MC9 states my name and registration code.

3) Sorry I may be a little slow, but what do I do with IE?

I had uninstalled everything and then reinstalled MC9. MC9 works fine. I have a valid MC9 license and therefore MC9 does not present me a link to the 'Buy upgrade page' in the help menu. Should I reinstall MC10 now and then buy a new license from there even though it appears not to work? Is that what you mean by saying:

4) Everything should then work properly.

Thanks
