Image Playback Instructions
« on: October 31, 2002, 07:17:03 am »

You can import jpg, gif, and bmp images just like you import mp3 or wma files.  Just use tools/import.

To play a set of images, just select them and hit enter or right click/play (or show) or hit the play button on the player window.

When the built-in slideshow is active, a spacebar will toggle it off and on.

Page up and page down go forward and back.

The mouse wheel zooms in.   One of the MJ options controls whether Pan is started automatically on zooming.

When zoomed, you can "grab" the screen and move the view by holding down the left mouse button and moving the mouse.  You can also do this with the arrow keys on the keyboard.

The P key turns pan off and on when you are zoomed in.

The "[" and "]" keys alter the speed of the pan.

When you are in full screen, you have good control of both music and images.  The control bar on the top controls music playback.  The one on the bottom controls image playback.

Starting up image playback is trickier.  Start music first.  Then select images and hit enter.   If music is playing, you can also right click on the selected images and select "show".

The easiest way to combine music and images is to make a playlist.  Just drag whatever you want into it.  Then start the playlist by pressing the Play button.

Right clicking on the image displayed gives you access to options for slideshow playback.  Time interval, transition effects, etc.

Hi JimH

Quote
Page up and page down go forward and back

Could this be changed to Rt. and Lf. arrow?
Since this works in full screen only.
Otherwise Ill be running out of buttons on my remote, pretty soon.

Would be nice to have a keyboard comand to change from Images to Visul. and ect. in full screen mode.

Everything else works Great.

Thanks
Griff

I thought there would be a thumbnail-option? I can't find it.
Thumbnail meaning in my opinion: instead of seeing the details in the main window (default now), seeing thumbnails in that same window.

Where is it?

Mark,
I'm not sure what you're asking.  Try switching to the "Playing Now" view and then use the "toggle list style" button on the toolbar.  Or hit ctrl-u.  This switches the view from details to thumbnail to cover (1 image per set of files) for both images and audio.

I'm either stupid, slow or thick.

Images imported with Download Manager from EMusic are already associated with the tracks they go with. How do you do that manually?

1 - I rip a CD.

2 - I scan the CD Cover.

How do I associate item 2 with item 1?

Or any image. Say I want to download a bunch of Diana Krall images off the net and show them when I play any Diana Krall song. How?

George Clark would have right clicked, gone to properties, and submitted himself to Properties/Tools, sir.

Could we have hotkeys for zoom for those of us without mousewheels? Ctrl-+ and Ctrl-- seem pretty standard

um, how do we zoom if we dont have a mouse wheel?

I use a graphics tablet and it doesn't have any wheel. My mum's mouse also doesn't have a wheel and nor does my uncles.

Reading the instructions I fear it is not possible to see what images are in the slideshow, while music is playing.
Is this correct?

I am therefore also not able to delete or reshuffle part of the images in the slideshow.
Also correct?

Also clearing the images without clearing the music seems undoable?

because of that i made a zone special for watching pictures. you can have one zone playing music and one playing pictures. ctrl-t switsches between the two.

Thanks for your answer.
But it is more handy to scroll thru the pictures as zoom the picture with the wheel in the monitor view.
Is it possible to config the keyboard and mouse funktions in MC in future?

Thanks
